Backing International Small Restaurants Grant Program

Toronto’s independent restaurants can apply for a $20,000 grant through the 2026 Backing International Small Restaurants program, supported by American Express. Funding helps eligible businesses improve kitchen operations, refresh dining spaces and enhance digital capabilities. Applications close November 16, 2026.

Applications are now open. Apply below by October 9 at 4:29 p.m. The Starter Company Plus Grant supports eligible entrepreneurs with training, mentoring, and advice, with selected entrepreneurs eligible to apply for a $5,000 micro-grant to help grow and expand their business.
