Toronto Hong Luck Kung Fu Association and the Chinatown BIA, with support from the City of Toronto’s #ShowLoveTO initiative, will be celebrating this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival this Saturday, September 18th from 12pm to 5pm. Spectators can expect a traditional lion dance parade performed by Hong Luck through Chinatown.
AND THERE IS MORE! As a token of our appreciation and to thank you for your continued support of our local businesses, the Chinatown BIA will be giving out free lanterns to our visitors. We will be stationed at Dragon City Mall on Saturday, Sept 18 and Sunday Sept 19 from 1pm – 4pm. Since the quantities are very limited, we are giving away the lanterns to anyone who is able to show us receipts of your recent purchases made in Chinatown. The lantern giveaway will be first come first serve, and one (1) receipt in exchange for one (1) lantern. Maximum one (1) lantern per family.
The graphics on the lanterns are designed by local artist Allister Lee.
