2016 Toronto Chinatown Festival

The Chinatown BIA is currently starting to organize the 2016 Toronto Chinatown Festival and we would like to hear from your RFP!

This will be our 16th year organizing the event and we would like to add some unique and interesting elements to the event by outsourcing a portion of the event coordination. The theme for our event this year is “The Legend of Dragon”.

We are currently looking for a RFP that will cover:

-  Regular meetings with the CBIA office, updating any progress

-  Seek and obtain sponsorship (10% commission on each sponsorship obtained)

-  Sourcing of Stage Performers for Main Stage (a total of 20 hours of performance)

For both stages: includes Opening Ceremony for Main Stage & 2nd Stage and Closing Ceremony for Main Stage

-  Scheduling of the above performers

-  Arrange at least 2 on-site staff for stage performance

-  Design Services: Design of event, promotional & advertising  materials (posters, flyers, banners, print ads, bus shelter ads, programming, volunteer t-shirts, invitations, media     kit, letterhead, name tags etc.)

-  Create and manage social media presence

-  Creation of media advisories and press releases (includes pre & post event releases in    English & Chinese)

-  Management of press conference (including creation of a media kit and media invites)

-  Provide photographer & videographer (offer edited photos)

-  Post-event report

As a non-profit organization, our budget is extremely limited and depends heavily on the sponsorships we are able to obtain for the event. We look forward to further discussing the possibilities of bringing a fantastic street festival  together to celebrate all that Toronto Chinatown has to offer!

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact the office. The deadline for your proposal will be April 8th, 2016. Please send your RFP to We look forward to hear from you soon!

Thank you!
